Q & A
The Ruudut (Squares) pattern seems like four patterns quilted into one cohesive look, because four different designers collaborated on the project. Marimekko asked Erja Hirvi, Maija Louekari, Aino-Maija Metsola, and Jenni Tuominen to create an abstract nature themed pattern using paper cutouts to represent the multifaceted personality of the Marimekko brand. The result is a collage based on the individual sketches of each designer in a striking black and white. Printed with non-toxic water-based colors on recycled tissue, these 100% biodegradable napkins are a more eco-friendly way to enjoy the convenience of disposable napkins. The pack of 20 3-ply paper napkins is the perfect way to bring personality to a party or fun to everyday dining.
