The ocean contains 99% of the planet's living space, yet less than 10% of it has been explored. After getting a glimpse into this mysterious marine life through scuba diving, Kustaa Saksi made Merivuokka (Sea Anenoma): his debut design with Marimekko and ode to the ocean floor's flora and fauna. Vibrant hues of coral, turquoise and petrol capture the colorful community which settles on the seascape, while swaying lines and organic shapes mimic the movement of living reefs. This round plywood and fabric tray will come in handy for serving large parties, but also makes a beautiful coffee table catch-all for treasures and trinkets.
Please note: Each tray is created directly from original Marimekko fabric, so wrinkles in the fabric (especially where the fabric wraps at the corners) are an inevitable and natural occurrence. Also, the design on your tray may be different from the tray pictured due to the long repeat of the pattern.
