Maija Isola was looking at a window curtain, where the fabric's folds formed sinuous shadows in the afternoon sunlight, when the idea for Lokki (Seagull) came to her. She quickly grabbed a pair of scissors and started cutting to achieve the raw, emotive edges of the design that is still making waves half a century later. The cover is easily removed from the included insert by means of a discreet side zipper and is machine-washable, allowing you to keep these grey and white lines crisp and clean for years to come.
