Q & A
The Hedelmäpeli (fruit game) pattern is perfect for adding calm and subtle color to a room. Released in 2010, the Hedelmäpeli design was created by Marimekko designer Erja Hirvi. Hirvi's inspiration is the exotic dragon fruit, sliced open to reveal a green interior and green or pink seeds. Each fruit slice is 13"-14" in diameter. The Hedelmäpeli fabric is labeled as a heavyweight interior cotton fabric, which means that it is sturdy enough to be an upholstery fabric but it has a smooth surface rather than a canvas weave.
(See secondary image for an approximation of one yard.)
