The idea for the Apilainen (Small Clover) pattern came to designer Lotta Maija while at her summer cottage. An easterly wind brought big waves to shore, causing the yard's flowery grass to sway back and forth in a memorable way.Here, the filed of flowers is printed in Finland to serve as fabric for any home or wardrobe project. It's crafted from 100% heavyweight cotton in a fine panama weave and can be cleaned in the washing machine. The fabric feels slightly thicker than standard Marimekko cotton fabrics with a more canvas-like feel that that mimics the construction and durable texture of the Panama hat.
