This numbered beauty is one of only 700 handcrafted by the master blowers in Finland. Professor Oiva Toikka was inspired by the iittala 2015 color 'Desert', and appropriately named the iittala Toikka Dyynia after the Finnish word for dunes (dynni). He wanted the bird to seem as if it was walking bravely through the sand, which is demonstrated in a beautifully sculpted pedestal food. The body seems to glow in a warm shade of amber, accented by a bright yellow head and opalescent beak. Petite and pointed, the tail adds an endearing element to its stoic stature. Each limited-production iittala Toikka Dynnia carries “O. Toikka IITTALA” on its base to ensure authenticity.
