From their siren song to their speckled plumage, the thrush species of birds are considered to be among the most beautiful in the avian world. This year renowned glass artesian Oiva Toikka has chosen the Mistle Thrush to be the inspiration for 2013. The slender tail and neck give the bird poise as its small head and sleek iridescent blue beak add elegance.
