Although it is considered a small serving bowl, I use them as individual bowls for Asian inspired rice and noodle dishes. The high sides are great for stirring with chopsticks and not making a mess, especially when soup is involved. It could also be used as a serving bowl for side dishes, smaller gatherings or as a fruit bowl.
