iittala Taika Red 17 oz. Pitcher

Perfect for what I was looking for as a gift

Solid, stylish, outstanding pitcher...I love, love, love iittala Taika designs. This also is the most durable set of dishes I have ever seen. They do not scratch and hold their beautiful colors. My bowls that I have had for 8 years look brand new.

. . . just right for maple syrup in the morning or a fill-up on iced tea or lemonade in the afternoon. I love the red glaze, too.

This is a small pitcher-- could use for cream, syrup, that sort of thing. Would love to have a larger size for water. As always, pretty design and good quality!

I am hopeful that someday iittala will make a sugar bowl to match this pitcher, which I have used for coffee creamer. I plan to use it for syrup the next time we have pancakes.

I bought this for my friend because I love mine so much! Last year I purchased one for my niece and she was over the moon! Beautiful!

We are a family of picky eaters so when I make spaghetti, I serve it plain, pass around the different toppings at the table, then everyone designs there own meal. The first topping is usually olive oil or my favorite marinara sauce from a jar. For a long time now I've been searching for a pitcher that could hold a reasonable amount of the sauce and could be used in the microwave, since that's how I heat the sauce up. I've come across many pitchers and gravy boats that came very close, but either they did not hold enough sauce or they were huge or they could not be used in the microwave. So we made do with the small white pitcher that we normally use for syrup on pancakes, and sometimes I'd have to refill it mid-way through dinner. Not anymore - this pitcher holds the perfect amount of sauce for our family of 4, it has a wide mouth so it's easy to pour the sauce from the jar into the pitcher, it can go in the microwave, and it looks very pretty sitting on table. I am thrilled!

I've been waiting to get some more red Taika to go with my piece-by-piece collection, and I also needed a milk pitcher for tea and coffee, so this satisfied both quests. As an art teacher, I enjoy having creative images as part of my daily experience (eating, sleeping) so your items help me do that -- art at meals, on my pillows and bedding, etc.

I got this pitcher for my daughter. She has the red coffee mugs and loves them. The pitcher is perfect and it compliments the mugs, so she can use it for cream, syrup or any sauce. The workmanship is outstanding.

This is a really beautiful little pitcher that will be perfect for serving cream to sauce or gravy.
