The iittala Ruutu collection highlights the stunning simplicity of geometric forms. This ceramic version is hollow-casted and finished by hand for a living surface and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship. Meaning ‘diamond’ in Finnish, the shape allows it to be beautifully displayed in group arrangements with other ceramic or glass Ruutu vases, though the stunning piece makes a statement solo as well. The ceramic is gazed in dark, almost-black blue for an opaque finish and dramatic display of stems.

The color is very dark.Very lovely vase.I found some pinhole and the customer service provided me replacement.Communication with customer service is greatBut ittalla did not regard it as defective.So I give 4 star.

Maybe you don’t want to see the stems in your arrangement. For me, I was attracted to the color and linear form. And, yes it was on sale, but I’d pay full price for this beauty. I can see using this for dried arrangements too.
