The iittala Ruutu collection highlights the stunning simplicity of geometric forms. This ceramic version is hollow-casted and finished by hand for a living surface and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship. Meaning ‘diamond’ in Finnish, the shape allows it to be beautifully displayed in group arrangements with other ceramic or glass Ruutu vases, though the stunning piece makes a statement solo as well. The ceramic is gazed in a coppery brown for an opaque finish and dramatic display of stems.

I love the shape of this vase. It is unusual. I paired it with the larger black vase. They looked wonderful full of Sunflowers.

Especially now that the price is more in line with the material value! I have the glass version and this ceramic one is a very different and also a lovely esthetic. I am partial to brown and this was s a new favorite item at home.
