Inspiration for the iiittala Nappula Short Candle Holder came to designer Matti Klenell at the Nuutarjärvi glass museum, where he was drawn to the distinctive design of an interestingly shaped chair. Moved by the unique piece of furniture, Klenell set out to create memorable pieces of his own. This is the shorter of the two candle holders in the Nappula collection, allowing it to hold even a tall candle and still serve as a centerpiece that won't obstruct your view. The sturdy powder coated steel has an attractive matte finish, and a felt bottom rest stabilizes the piece. This candlestick is pure perfection. It was purchased with the larger version and appears as a set on my buffet table in the dining room. The color, thought a muted green, is still very vibrant and goes nicely with my teak buffet. I have it paired with a white, ball-shaped candle, also purchased from FinnStyle.com It is quite sturdy and heavier that it looks. The added bonus is the padded base so it won't scratch the surface it's placed on. It is, as I wrote earlier, pure perfection. Don't let this deal pass you by.
