Q & A
The iittala Dewdrop (Kastehelmi) Dessert Bowl is truly an elegant piece. Named Kastehelmi (Dewdrop) after the bubbled detailing on the pressed glass, this collection was originally produced from 1964-1988 and brought back to celebrate Oiva Toikka's 50 year mark as a designer. Here, it's made from 100% recycled pressed glass and is perfectly sized for sides, desserts, dips, and more.
Pieces from the special edition recycled glass collection by iittala make the perfect give for those who seek to reuse, repurpose, and recycle - as well as those who love one-of-a-kind treasures. Because each is made with leftover and mixed glass mass from the factory in Finland, the alluring grey hue may vary with blue or green undertones. Each is still made with virgin materials to be of the same durable quality Finland is known for, just with a focus on sustainable style. Each is specially engraved to say "RECYCLED iittala" on the base, and even the famous "i" red logo sticker notes its recycled material.
Please note: Because each is made from recycled glass, colors may vary and small bubbles and other unique imperfections may occur.
