The raindrop pattern of the Kastehelmi design is one of iittala's most beautiful glasswares. It's delicate-looking, but the glass itself is thick and sturdy. I use these two jars in my kitchen to store peppercorns and whole cinnamon sticks. The air-tight lids keep the spices from too much exposure to the air. The tin the two jars come in is a bonus and does service as a cookie container. I keep it by my reading chair, full of ginger snaps.
