A fine example of truly timeless design, the iittala Kastehelmi Dewdrop Clear Footed Bowl needs to be seen and felt in person to really be appreciated. Named Kastehelmi (dewdrop) after the bubbled detailing on the pressed glass, this collection was originally produced from 1964-1988 and brought back to celebrate Oiva Toikka's 50 year mark as a designer. We use these on an everyday basis - they are sturdy and don’t need to be saved just for special occasions. Serving food in these however does elevate the experience - a simple morning yogurt with granola topping and a drizzle of maple syrup and sprinkle of cinnamon transforms your typical cup of yogurt into a fancy parfait. We serve berries, nuts, dips - salsa, guacamole, etc. and of course ice cream. I have several colors but tend to reach for the clear ones most often.

Lovely little candy bowl!

This is such a pretty bowl! I fill it with the red-and-white-striped Fazer Marianne candies at Christmastime, just as pictured in the photo, and it makes for a lovely color accent (at least, while the candies last, which is not long in our house!). As with all the Iiittala Dewdrop items, the glass is substantial and not prone to chip. I have this bowl in both clear and in the seasonal cranberry color, and both are beautiful.
