Debuting in Vienna in 1881 with great success, Anton Bruckner’s most popular work, Symphony No. 4, is a musical piece of note. Performed by the Minnesota Orchestra and led by famous Finnish-born composer, Osma Vänskä, this recording is played to near perfection. Written in 1847, this musical movement revolves around the idea of medieval romance. Aptly nicknamed “Romantic”, medieval romance involves adventure and earning love through triumph; thus an immense build-up and bold dramatic sound create the four-part movement that is Symphony No. 4.
