Not only is Oiva Toikka's Barnacle Goose particularly challenging to make, it is also the most valuable of the current collection of Toikka birds. A limited number of 2000 numbered birds have been crafted and past limited-edition geese have sold quickly. The Goose has a silver beak, white crown, white and black body, and brown tail feathers.
Measures: 9-3/4" H x 12-1/4" L (25 x 31 cm)
On the base of each individualized bird is acid-stamped the signature of the artist and of his studio in Nuutajärvi, Finland. |
