Celebrate Finland's 100th anniversary of independence with the Arabia mug collection. Each of the 10 mugs features designs from a different decade, telling the story of Finland throughout the years. Arabia's best known decorator, Raija Uosikkinen, was entrusted the task of designing patterns for Kaj Franck's tableware series in the earl 1950s. One of her best-known patterns was Hattara, which received a gold medal in Sacramento in 1961. Uosikkinen's broad palette of styles and comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and decorative methods provided her with the means to create a wide range of patterns that gave each object a distinctive appearance.
The whimsical Hattara (cotton candy) design adorns the 1957 with fun and playful cotton candy dancing across the mug in blue and yellow. This mug comes in a decorative box for safe-keeping, complete with the cheerful pattern on the top.

The Arabia Finland 100 Hattara 1954 Mug is so stylish! It brings back so many memories of impressions I had as a young child.
