Designer Oiva Toikka was exploring ways to camouflage the joint marks in pressed glass when he discovered the beautiful bubbles called Kastehelmi (Dewdrop). The 1964 design is still timeless today, and is especially fresh in this sleek new goblet-like shape. Mixing old-world with modern and decorational with functional, the universal glass can be used for wine, water, morning juice and more. Feeling fancy doesn't need to be reserved for special occasions, as the glass is conveniently dishwasher safe. The sturdy stem feels great in hand and practically begs for a "cheers" this season. This glasses are so beautiful! Now I need a whole set. They shimmer and sparkle in the nicest way. They aren’t too heavy and easy to hold. Perfect for water, juice or a little vino. I had purchase something similar at a competitor that are so heavy and lack the elegance of these glasses. I do wish they made a taller glass for I would purchase those too.
