To celebrate Oiva Toikka's 50 year career as a designer, the Dewdrop (Kastehelmi) pattern is available to grace your table. Originally in production from 1964-1988, Kastehelmi has been reintroduced by Iittala in clear and apple green, all decorated with concentric rings of rounded glass dewdrops.

I bought this dinner plate for serving because the designated serving plate is too large for my cupboard. Now I want both sizes! The design is timeless and easy to clean, with texture on the bottom, where it can be felt, and the visible pattern showing through. Whether the plate is passed or left on a buffet—whenever food is apt to slide or be pushed off—the subtle rim is a helpful feature.

I love these plates with the little rim around them so nothing slides off. The clear color allows you to change color schemes. Lovely and practical.
