Beautiful deep blue

This mug makes me happy every morning. I am drinking from it right now! I may be crazy but I think porcelain keeps the coffee/tea hotter than ceramic earthenware, so for me this is perfect. I should have probably gotten two red ones too...

Lovely useful mug!

I love the Taika pattern and this blue mug joins a red one my husband gave me years ago. I’d love a full set of dishes but alas, out of my price range right now.

I appreciate that the mug is appropriate for daily use because it is dishwasher and microwave proof. At the same time, it is beautiful, which is the best combination for everyday things. I am a huge fan of the Arts and Crafts movement, which combined beauty and usefulness in every household item. Iitala Taika fits in that groove well.

I’ll probably purchase a serving piece in the future.
