Inspired by the original Aalto (Savoy) vase, this rounder version simplifies the original for the ultimate modern and sleek look in a new, larger size. The fluid lines of Alvar Aalto's 1936 design are preserved, still beautifully illustrating the curving shores and rolling waves of Finland's many bodies of water. It takes 7 craftsmen, 12 work stages and 30 hours to create just one of these extraordinary mouth-blown vases. The Linen color is light, airy, and alluring, perfect for flower arrangements or whatever contents you choose. Aalto designed the functional art so that the end user could determine its purpose.
