Gentle soap with great smell. I use it for shaving every day.

I love the calming, light yellow color of this large bar of soap. The scent is refreshing in the bathroom and its clean fragrance lingers on my skin.

A very fine-milled soap. The scent is floral but not overpowering, and it doesn't linger unpleasantly on the skin. The lather is fabulous.

I first tried this soap several years ago and since then it is the only soap (in the shower) that I use. It is wonderful.

This was a gift for my cousin, who lives in a very rural area and built a Finnish sauna in the woods. He is a bit old-fashioned and enjoys a minimalist, very down-to-earth lifestyle. He said the soap arrived quickly and he is enjoying the scent and likes using it in his sauna. He has so few possessions, that I was very pleased to find him something that delighted him.

I really like this soap. It lasts for a long time, dissolves dirt and grease quickly and efficiently and has no perfumy odor. Also, it reminds me of the days long ago when my family used the sauna every week.

I chose this because of the birch fragrance, and unfortunately it doesn't smell like much of anything to me. It is, however, a fine large soap that makes an excellent lather and rinses well, so I have no regrets.

I do not have a sauna but have used this soap exclusively (even facially) since I was in my 20s. I am now in my 70s! I am regularly told what nice skin I have. I will keep using it until I can no longer find it or when I am slated to leave the earth. Enjoy!

This is real good sauna soap, it leaves the body feeling clean and fresh. The bar lasts a very long time, even in the hot sauna.

I'm a self confessed soapaholic. it does make a difference what kind of soap one uses. I've tried many types and so far my favorite bar soap is anything wth shea butter froml 'occitane

I placed an order to finnstyle for some bedding and thought to include some birch soap, pine flavor was out of stock, so can't report on that. Sotythe birch. Right away, had to try it. Mmmmmguess what, it's really NICE look at that LATHER! I can tell that this soap is a real winner, so luxurious-seeming. it's my new favorite. I could not find, though, a list of ingredients for the soap What's it made from? . You can tell a lot from ingredient list such as this one i'm making up right now: sodium tallowate means saponified beef suet sodium palmate means saponified palm oil etc etc the -ate on the back of any ingredent means saponfied which means its mixed with lye and then the fat changes chemical structure and turns into soap. Putting lye in the list would scare everyone away, that's why you don't see it much on ingred lists

back to birch soap i love it. my only prob and it won't be yours is that i am undergoing chemo right now. that makes your skin very dry and sensitive after abt 3 days i felt my skin was a little raw maybe from birch oil my suggestion to mfr of this soap is to cut the birch oil way down, it can cause irritation i used to make my own soap, lots of fun so i remember the warnings about too much birch oil in products. try this soap though it is the best especially if you are young and strong.
