iittala Essence was designed by Argentinean designer Alfredo Häberli in 2001. Häberli believed that simplicity optimizes the enjoyment of fine wine, and created simple and pure forms to deliver that ideal.
Häberli designed each bowl for optimal appreciation while sharing the same stem height and base size for each glass piece. The Essence cocktail bowl is great for sipping your favorite cocktail or margarita from, as well as serving small desserts. You can choose how to utilize this modern piece of Essence glassware.

The iittala Essence Cocktail Bowls are the perfect cocktail glass. I use mine for champagne, margs, french martinis, really any mixed cocktail that is pretty. Very generous size and nicely balanced, like the entire Essence line. This was one of my first Essence purchases. I now have the entire line and am very happy with all of them.

I use this glass when I want to serve cocktails in stemware. I much prefer the "bowl" shape to traditional martini glasses that I see as a spill waiting to happen. As with the rest of the Essence series, the glass is sturdy enough and they have a good weight.
Great for a drink or as display for tiger shrimp and homemade cocktail sauce.
