iittala Essence was designed by Argentinean designer Alfredo Häberli in 2001. Häberli believed that simplicity optimizes the enjoyment of fine wine, and created simple and pure forms to deliver that ideal.

These Essence tumblers look so great next to my wine and cocktail glasses of the same line! They are a great lowball glass, hold one huge cube or two to three conventional sized ones. Nicely weighted base without taking away from the lightness of the glass design. Crystal clear!
I have two pairs of iittala Essence wine glasses. I have been looking for the same series of different designs. I don't need to hold the stems. This is the perfect glass for me.
