Gorgeous bowl!

My parents had this exact bowl, purchased about 60 years ago when they were living in Norway. I was thrilled when they passed in on to me as they were downsizing a few years ago. My husband accidentally dropped a heavy metal travel mug on it and took a chunk out of the edge. We were delighted to find that FinnStyle carried the exact same design, so many years later! It's a beautiful and sturdy bowl (as long as you aren't dropping metal cups on it from 2 feet above, and even then it just took out a chunk whereas a more delicate bowl would have been smashed to pieces). So happy to have a replacement that looks just as at home in a more modern setting as it did 60 years ago when my parents bought it.

Iittala Ultima Thule Serving Bowl

Iittala Ultima Thule Serving Bowl

I purchased the Iittala Ultima Thule Serving Bowl for a young second cousin’s wedding gift. I did not know the girl, but her mother said she loved “all things Finnish “. The bride wrote to tell me she was thrilled to receive the serving bowl. She said she had been happy to find that she could use it bas a centerpiece, or as a formal or very casual serving bowl. She said it looked great with virtually everything. Nice thank you note!
Thank YOU, Finn Style, for a good wedding gift!

Kaunis, Kaunis, Kaunis - I would love to purchase a larger size. Trying to get my children in Helsinki to give me their larger bowl - no luck!!!
