iittala Ultima Thule Footed Centerpiece Bowl

I’m pleased with this purchase. It’s so beautiful ! It can actually be used in many different ways.

I am from Finland and love Iittala glassware. I first bought this for my son when he got engaged, eight years ago. A few years later I came across some pretty amazing wood fruit which I gave to my son and daughter-in-law . The bowl and the wood fruit, (often with real fruit on top) sit on the kitchen island and it really makes a statement. This bowl can be used for so many occasions, fruit salad or green salad for a party, pastries, anything will look beautiful in this bowl, which is why I just bought another one for my daughter for her birthday. I can't wait to see her reaction.

I love Thule items and when I saw this item, the Thule design on the Center piece Bowl, I was excited. It has been used as a salad bowl, a fruit bowl, a Christmas center piece. Daylilies have floated in water in it; small pumpkins and autumn leaves celebrate Thanksgiving. What a great creation! Thanks ittala!

I love everything about this bowl! I am using it as a fruit bowl but will use it as a salad bowl and serving bowl when I have guests. This piece is very good quality and pairs beautiful with my Italia Taaki dinnerware. Beautiful, worthwhile investment.

My Mom was from Finland and instilled in my brother and I a love for all things Finnish. My brother's daughter is getting married and I want her to have Ittala glassware. I received the Thule bowl promptly. It is beautiful. It will be suitable for serving salads, main courses, and desserts. I love the design in the glass and the weight of the bowl-a flimsy piece this is not!
