Meaning "Crushed" in Finnish, Murska is a mortar and pestle that has been designed with timeless style and superior function in mind. Doubling the work area but saving on space, it consists of a small, porcelain bowl as well as larger, wooden one which has been treated with flax oil yet retains its natural grain. The inner basin of the porcelain bowl is unglazed to provide an ideal surface for grinding. Sharing this same key texture at the base, the pestle is ergonomically shaped so that it is easy to grip and grind with power.
