Rosenthal Suomi White Cereal Bowl

This bowl is perfect for microwaving single-serving oatmeal and other moist food. It is deep enough that the contents won’t rise too much during heating and create a mess. For ease when microwaving, I have been putting the bowl on a salad plate, secured by a paper napkin between the bowl and the plate so it won’t slip.

Compared to other white dinnerware I have, this bowl has a slightly bluish / grayish tint. It is beautiful and will stack well with care.

I do recommend hand washing, like the product information suggests. I put a bowl in the dishwasher and noticed a slight mark where it had rested against the rack. Very slight, not bad, but because I love this so much, I want to take care of it.

There are three sizes of place setting bowls in the Suomi line, and this one is the most useful. Its size is midway between the other two designs, making it versatile for most uses. Although it's described as a cereal bowl, it's also the ideal size for desserts such as trifle or pudding.
