Designer Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created the Piccolo pattern in 1953 and it has represented Marimekko's legacy of iconic stripes ever since. Painted with vivid and imperfect brushstrokes, the playful stripes are neutral yet striking in an alternating black and white colorway.
