Lovely scarf and very soft. Large enough to use as a shawl but also works as a generously-sized scarf too. The beautiful subtleties of the charcoal color are more obvious in person. I would not hesitate to recommend this item.
The fabric is slightly textured and ever so soft. The tri colored edging adds just enough interest. It’s easy to wear.
Gave this to my wife as a Christmas present. She absolutely loves it. Nice size for wrapping around her neck and over her head for our cold Wisconsin winter days. This scarf is perfect. It is large, warm and the perfect color for my needs. The detail work on the edges is so pretty and different. I am sure to get a lot of use from this item.
I have to thank Liz who wrote "A Winter Staple" review. I read her review and immediately ordered this lovely scarf. I was inspired by how she found so many lovely and kind uses for her scarf. Mine is now draped over my breakfast chair and will be perfect for our chilly North Carolina mornings. With family coming in for the holidays, including my ever-youthful 89-year-old mother, I, too, may be finding appreciative knees and shoulders to drape this scarf over. Love that the scarf is woven in Finland. Thanks Liz for the inspiration!
While I usually keep this shawl over the back of my favorite chair I often begin my day by putting it around my shoulders and again at night while reading. When guests come - I frequently will lay it across someones appreciative knees. Nothing is as warm or soft as merino wool. I've hand washed mine in cold water and hung to dry several times. It still looks like new.
