A classic Lapuan Kankurit design. I've lost track of how many things I have in this pattern - runners, tote bag, tea towels, sauna seat covers. I don't have a sauna, but the seat covers are a great size to put under a floral arrangement. In this case, under a big Iittala vase full of pine boughs for some proper Christmas decor!

Actually bought this for a small table mat. Looks terrific!
These are lovely to look at and we love the birch motif, but we were disappointed at how thin they were, considering their intended use as a seat pad. We fold ours in half (or more) to provide more heat protection when the sauna benches are up to temperature. We were also disappointed at the care they require, considering they need to be laundered after each person-use. Care calls for gentle cycle, no softener, no spin dry, reshape while damp, and iron while damp. Note also that the linen will shrink 5%.
Well made of substantial fabric, but way to nice for a sauna seat cover. I always intended to use it for a wall hanging in the dressing room of our sauna.

I love this birchwood pattern and purchased this to use as a small placemat until the runner is restocked. The size is slightly larger a single placemat and I might get more.
Lapuan Kankurit scores with their birch tree print. It is so charming. Sauna pillows are available but I wanted bigger pillows for my couch, so I bought 4 of these sauna seat covers and am sewing 2 together to make a large pillow--18 x 24"
