Limited to 1000 numbered pieces, the artful Kiikkuri will be a treasured and cherished gift. Designer Oiva Toikka drew inspiration from his iconic pop-inspired vases of the era to create Kiikkuri, which is the first extra large bird in his repertoire. Based on this original archival bird shape, the Kiikkuri now emerges in a beautiful, deep cranberry red hue, while playful round shapes in red and green make up its tail. Standing almost 10" tall, this large and powerful bird will be a statement piece in any interior.
It is the careful craftsmanship by the master glassblowers combined with the imaginative design of Professor Oiva Toikka that gives the iittala glass birds their unmatched beauty and collectability. Each piece is handcrafted at iittala's glass factory in Finland, making your bird special and unique just as in nature. Due to this, there may be variations between your bird and the bird pictured. Etched at the base is "O. TOIKKA IITTALA" for authenticity and to remind you of the origins of this special bird.
