iittala Teema White Soup / Cereal Bowl

My previous set of dishes (a different brand) had a cereal bowl that was just too large capacity-wise, while the soup bowl in that set was both too wide and too shallow (allowing soup to cool too fast). This bowl is a welcome improvement! It is the perfect size for oatmeal, soup, chili, etc. It also fits a large serving of ice cream or other desserts. Smaller dessert servings fit with ample room for containing any possible messiness with sauces or loose toppings. I really like this bowl style for my set of everyday dishes.

Very happy with these bowls! They are slightly off-white, which surprised me in person. I like the shape—modern without being stark—and they’re a good size for cereal or snacks.

I grew up with this design through the 1960s when it was first offered through Arabia. Familiar and well designed. Wish they were still made in Finland though.

I have looked for years for replacements for some very old cereal bowls. These are perfect and I was delighted to find them!
