Designing brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec were inspired by Aalto's patented L-shaped leg to create a component-based system for the Kaari series. In Finnish, Kaari means "Arch." The fluid outline has the lightness of a single pen stroke, but is sturdy with a strong design presence. It has a single pillar oak base, but four steel wings give it even greater stability. Choose between black linoleum, glossy black laminate, or glossy white laminate, which all serve as a sleek surface for dining, meeting, and more. Mix and match your surface to a natural oak base or a black lacquered oak base to tailor the table to your space.
HPL vs. Linoleum:
High Pressure Laminate (HPL): HPL offers a smooth surface, maximum durability, stain resistance, and easy maintenance. It is ideally suited for dining tables, high-traffic areas, and heavy-use spaces.
Linoleum: Linoleum is warm, natural, and glare-free with a matte finish. It's softer surface is ideally suited for writing desks, office workspaces, meeting tables, and more.
