Autumn has arrived in Moominvalley. The limited-edition Moomin's Day 2026 Mug celebrates the glowing beauty of Nordic fall in warm yellow, ochre, and brown hues. The Moomins are gathering hay and pine needles to prepare for their annual winter hibernation amidst falling leaves and the low-lying Nordic sun. The design is based on author and illustrator Tove Jansson's 1955 comic strip Moomin's Winter Follies. The autumn-themed mug completes the series of Moomin's Day mugs that depict the four seasons of Moominvalley, and is a tribute to Tove Slotte, who designed the Moomin Arabia mugs for over thirty years before retiring. This is the last mug she designed.
Moomin's Day is celebrated on August 9th, the birthday of Moomin creator Tove Jansson.
