This is the first time I have purchased this type of ball candle. In order to secure it, I decided to use a heavy pewter candle holder with a wide base.
Then I wrapped the short stem of the candle with a strip of aluminum foil before placing it in the candle holder. Now that I see it will not tip over from "possibly" being top heavy in tall candle holders, I will be ordering more colors.

Footed ball candles, for which Festivo candlesticks were designed, have been impossible to find except for an occasional eBay listing for vintage products. It is wonderful that Finnstyle was able to find a manufacturer capable of producing so many colors. These are a particularly beautiful red tone.

Are these candles dripless?

1 Answer

Observe the burning of the ball candle especially closely when the candle has burned past its widest point. Because of its round shape, this candle is prone to draining. However, it is possible to burn the ball candle until the end without draining.

In this case, please make sure that the wick of the ball candle stays short (approx. 0.5-1 cm) and also follow other instructions related to burning the candle. In terms of candle burning, the most important thing is the right room temperature and a draft-free place.
