Vesa Nilsson is a Finnish Master of Arts and designer whose philosophy, “I think first and design later," reflects his thoughtful and hands‑on approach to jewelry creation. Since around 2011, he has contributed significantly to Kalevala Koru, merging traditional craftsmanship with innovative concepts. He is widely celebrated for the Kalevala Love ring collection and the Made in Helsinki Eira collection. His work balances emotional resonance with refined design, which showcases both historical reference and contemporary elegance.

About Finnish Design

Finnish design has a long history and is know for simplicity, functionality, and craftsmanship. It's trademark designs emerged in the early 20th century, and gained international attention through pioneers like Alvar Aalto in architecture and furniture, as well as companies such as Iittala, Artek, and Marimekko. Their work emphasized clean lines, natural materials, and a harmonious balance between beauty and practicality. Everything must have a purpose.
