Aleksi Kuokka

Born in 1978, Aleksi Kuokka has boasted an impactful career across multiple top-tier Finnish design firms. After graduating from Industrial Design at the Lahti University of Applied Sciences, be began his career with iittala in 2005 and interned at their glass factory. His portfolio also includes other high-profile collaborations with Finnish brands such as Finlayson, Nokia, and more. Notably, for iitala, he has designed elegant drinkware such as the Sarjaton glass and Ote glass, as well as the most recent Play dinnerware series.

About Finnish Design

Finnish design has a long history and is know for simplicity, functionality, and craftsmanship. It's trademark designs emerged in the early 20th century, and gained international attention through pioneers like Alvar Aalto in architecture and furniture, as well as companies such as Iittala, Artek, and Marimekko.
