Beauty where it Counts
September 5, 2016
We bought 4 curtains and stitched them together. We then hung them from our Patio cover, concealing the ugly breeze blocks that separate us from the world outside. They flutter in the breeze and have lasted 3 years so far. A thing of beauty lasts forever! Well almost.

Lovely pattern but too long for drop ceiling bathrooms
November 30, 2014
I always buy two shower curtains so that I can draw them together from both sides and avoid splashes on the floor. I had to cut several inches off the bottom because our drop ceiling is low and the tiles are removable to reach the "innards" of the plumbing and electrical systems. I would be happy if typical 72 inch curtains were available for the American market. It's not a huge adjustment. Meanwhile, I love the translucent effect of the design; it always makes me cheerful in my windowless bathroom. They're now over seven years old, wash easily, and still look like new. There's also no need for a liner, so one recoups part of the cost. Thank you

Not the usuall use of Shower Curtains.
November 3, 2014
We purchased two of these shower curtains to surround our apartment patio providing us with some privacy. Now we have bought a house and added another two to surround our south facing patio. We live in Vegas which gets very hot in the summer. But behind these curtains with our mister lowering the temperature by 10-15 deg F we have a beautiful view and a cooler house. In addition, when looking out the window we see silver birches and not our neighbors cement block wall.
Pros
Finn provided us with the second pair promptly with no complaints. - Thank You.

Birch Tree Love
March 25, 2014
Love this shower curtain. A classic Finnish scene of birch trees, water and greenery. I waited four years to buy it since I already had a shower curtain when I saw it for the first time. Well, once the old one broke, I snapped this up! Not 5 stars, because it is too long and I'll have to hem it.

Never mind that it is long enough for my needs, never mind that it is like looking at a painting, never mind the quality is very good, never mind that the item ships at a very acceptable date, I still have ordered my fourth Marimekko Kaiku shower curtain. So grateful to the designer and manufacturer and don't forget the seller. So long as they all sell this shower curtain, I'll keep buying. Just sign me "A happy customer".

July 22, 2013
We have a wall hanging with the Kaiku fabric in our vacation home. We loved the idea of the Kaiku pattern on a shower curtain for our large walk-in shower. It adds great and a touch of the outdoors to our master bath. It is great to not need a liner with this great fabric.

colors are bright, length is good for our use, fabric is soft to the touch

The curtain was slightly longer than we wanted because of the positioning of the curtain rod. But a little bit of sewing remedied that issue, and it is now a gorgeous complement to our recently repainted bathroom.

Kaiku Shower Curtain
March 13, 2013
This is a beautiful piece...we love what it does to the room. But here's the problem...it's too long! I am an architect and have never come across the need for such a long shower curtain. It lays in the water in the tub. So I have to cut it down to 72" and trim the bottom, not too bad if you have a sewing machine, which I do, and can operate it, which I can, kind of. Two problems with this...you have to cut off the nice bottom hem that has a beaded chain in it to give it some weight, and you have to crop off a part of the print (ouch)...there's also a big white border at the top that looks disproportionate after the trimming. It hurts to have to do all this to a $70 item...why can't they make a shorter curtain for American sales?
Pros
beautiful...nice quality material.
Cons
Too expensive. Too long...needs to be customized.

We just re-tiled the shower in our small bathroom in black and white; and I am accenting the bathroom with bright lime green tones. This shower curtain ties everything together; and I couldn't have picked a better design. Having had to swallow hard to justify the cost, I am totally happy I did it.

I came across this shower curtain in a boutique and purchased the last one. When I got home I immediately ordered three more. No, not for three bathrooms. These are the perfect curtains for my new sunroom. Tension bars and curtain hooks and I have a sunny artistic look ... Not only a unique solution, but a relatively inexpensive one. Best of all, I just love looking at them.

I have wanted this curtain for so long--but I just couldn't justify the expense. I decided recently just to go for it and I am so happy I did. I have a small bathroom and this curtain just gives a more open, airy feel to the whole room. I lived in Finland for a year and have been back a few times and this curtain reminds me so much of the birch trees out near the lakes. Good memories and associations all around. It is very long; I had to put in a 3 inch hem, but it did not affect the pattern at all. I got new green towels to go with the curtain and I am just loving my bathroom. I figure I'll have this forever, which justifies the expense, as does the happy feeling I get every time my eyes alight upon this gorgeous work of art masquerading as a shower curtain.

Perfect description
April 8, 2012
I first saw the Marimekko Kaiku design in the HGTV magazine; the fabric was used as a shower curtain. I loved the design and was looking for a new shower curtain, so when I logged onto the Finn Style web site you can imagine how pleased I was to find there was actually a Marimekko Kaiku shower curtain...perfect! I ordered it and it shipped the next day and I had the shower curtain within only a few days! It looks perfect in our bathroom.
Pros
I love the print, the colors and the fabric! it really brightens up a small bathroom and give it a very custom look.

The colors and the bambu trees gives this curtain shower something special. We have a tiny bathroom and this print makes it airy and comfortable. I just love it. I will use a liner though, I own a previous one and end up with a nasty pink where the water hits the most. This one came super long and I have to cut it, but it is room for it, doesn't affect the print.

I love my new shower curtain! It is perfect for my small bathromm, and a nice change from the typical department store selection. I have several compliments on it already. It gives a view to an otherwise small dark space. Nice fabric, a little longer than usual so it really covers the tub.

Beautiful Addition to my Bathroom!
February 6, 2012
I love this shower curtain. Keep in mind that it is about 5-6 inches longer than a standard American shower curtain, so that there is white space at the top and bottom; fortunately, this fit my space perfectly. The design is bright and nicely abstract, and the tree motif appears twice in the width of the curtain. Pricey, but worth it to cheer up my window-less space! Still trying to figure out how to get the fold wrinkles out without disobeying the care instructions.

Marimekko Kaiku Shower Curtain
October 23, 2011
I love this shower curtain. It's like having a huge painting fill up my bathroom. It is pretty thin so I put a clear liner behind it. It gets pretty dark all winter where I live and this curtain really helps the bathroom feel like a lighter, brighter place- not a gloomy cave like my old solid color shower curtain made it feel in the winter.

Pros
I love the fresh colors and unique design. It is perfect for a small bathroom.

It was too long; I had to shorten it in order to have it fit the area. Rather than re-hem the bottom of the shower curtain, I brought the top up and eliminated the white area. Perfect!

great purchase

We bought this shower curtain in order to give our laundry/utility room a face-lift. The curtain's bright colors and birch motif gives the room a forested feel while also hiding the washer/dryer from view. Gave the cabinets a fresh coat of complementary paint, and we now have a relaxing, multi-purpose craft and activity room for our household.

This curtain opens up the bathroom creating a sense of space. It is not plain white which adds interest and allows. The 78" length is preferable to keep the water in and no lining is needed so it remains minimalist but functional and opens up that space we all crave in a bathroom.

We've had our shower curtain over a year now and it's always been a favorite pattern for us. Now it's featured on the TV show Modern Family in Cam and Mitchel's house. Ha!
Is the print on both sides of the shower curtain or can the print be seen from the back side?
1 Answer
The print is only on one side of the shower curtain, however you are able to see the design through the backside of the shower curtain very clearly as well
